Our new Reconciliation Action Plan

On 17 March 2017, Palmerston launched its innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), a plan with strong commitments and a bold vision. We believe we can achieve the vision if we keep learning and listening. We are privileged to have had the guidance and wisdom of our Aboriginal Elders as we endeavour to improve our responses to Aboriginal families in the metropolitan and Great Southern region and strengthen our cultural appropriateness.

Thank you to our Board, our staff, other First Australian organisations, Reconciliation WA and Reconciliation Australia for their contribution. Our RAP has evolved with the thoughtful consideration of many over time and is itself part of the journey of listening, learning and change.

True Stories

"Thank-you for the experience and the challenges, it has changed me for the better. I have become trustable and stable in all aspects towards myself and others. I learnt to put boundaries in place to guide myself towards my long-term goals. There is so much to learn here at the farm.”
